The International Kung-Fu Arnis Association (I.K.A.A.)
was founded by 10th Degree Grandmaster, Tuhon Rick Ward.
The I.K.A.A. now oversees nine schools in North Carolina,
one in Virginia and one in Tennessee along with several
instructors teaching privately across the United States.
Tuhon Rick Ward began his martial arts training
in the late 1970's to strengthen his body from the deterioration
of Crohn's disease. Through the years his love for the Martial
Arts grew so , that he decided to open his own school and
began teaching. Tuhon Ward now holds the rank of 10th Degree
Grandmaster and 36th patriarch of the Emperor's Long Fist
system, 10th degree Grandmaster and Founder of the Sasamba
Kali Arnis System and 9th degree Grandmaster and Founder
of the Sasamba Kali Arnis Sunburst Natural Fist System as
well as ranks in various other martial arts disciplines.
This annual seminar was started in 2000 to bring together
the many schools in the I.K.A.A. to pay tribute to Tuhon
Rick Ward and so that the organization would continue to
grow and strengthen as a whole. Now in its fourth year and
with two new schools opening in that time, it appears the
concept is working. Seminar Instructors are all first generation
students of Tuhon Rick Ward and will teach from the many
martial art systems of the I.K.A.A.

Directions: From US 421 take
exit 282 onto NC 115. Take 115 North toward North Wilkesboro
for approximately 2.5 miles and turn right onto the second
entrance to Armory Rd., beside J&B Auto Brokers. The
National Guard Armory will be directly on the left.
